Maruti Suzuki Making Plans to Significance Snapdragon Elite Chips in Its Cars, Companions with Qualcomm

New Snapdragon Elite Automotive chip can be used in the upcoming vehicles of the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki. The company has partnered with Qualcomm for this. It is being told that Snapdragon’s new automotive chip can provide advanced safety system, connected car technology and other features.

Earlier, Qualcomm gave information about tie-up with big automobile companies Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra. Last month, Qualcomm announced two new chipsets for the automotive industry at the Snapdragon Summit held in HAWAII, USA. The company has introduced Snapdragon Cockpit Elite and Snapdragon Experience Elite as part of Snapdragon Virtual Chassis Resolution portfolio. According to a SmartPrix report, one of these chips can be used in Maruti Suzuki vehicles.

The Snapdragon Cockpit Elite can provide advanced digital experience and the Experience Elite Chip supports automotted driving capacity. Qualcomm says that automobile companies can add both these functions to a single chip. For this, these chips have a flexible architecture. Qualcomm has reported that both these chips will be available for sampling next year. Earlier, the company had said that the new chipset is also stronger than Intel’s processor. It offers 162 percent faster CPU performance compared to the Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 peak on ISO-power. In the last few years, the lack of chip supply was affected by the manufacturing of the automobile industry. However, this condition has improved.

These chip can support features such as lane and parking assistance in infotainment system, advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), driver monitoring and vehicles. Both these chips have Oryon CPU, Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU. The use of these processors can provide a three -fold faster CPU and Artificial Intelligence (AI) performance. These chips support more than 40 multimedia sensors. These include high-schedules cameras up to 20 for 360 degree coverage. They use tools associated with AI for optimized images.
