Everything will be managed inside WhatsApp chat interface. This feature was first launched as a pilot in Lucknow in December 2021 and is now being introduced on a large scale.

In one of the top cities of Uber worldwide, users can now use WhatsApp for registrations, ride booking and trip response. For this they do not need to download the Uber app. Users can select any of English and Hindi languages ​​to book cabs on WhatsApp.

According to WhatsApp, Lucknow Pilot revealed that “WA2R users are under the age of Uber app, about 50 percent of which are under 25 years old. It shows that 33 percent of inbounds were received from new users during the pilot. New users are likely to come through new users.

How to book Uber Cab through WhatsApp

A new or existing user who has registered with only one phone number on Uber can book rides through WhatsApp. They can send ‘Hi’ on +91 7292000002 on WhatsApp or click on WhatsApp or scan the code given below. Users will be asked to provide pickup and drop of location. Users will also know the approximate time for advance fare and the arrival of the driver. After this they can confirm their ride.

Uber’s official chatbot on Whatsapp is operated by Infobip and this feature is made on WhatsApp business platforms. Apart from this, instant messaging platform says that riders will get the same security feature and insurance security that book trips through the Direct Uber app. These include the driver’s name, car license plate, the ability to track the driver’s location on the way to the pickup point and the feature of anonymous talking to the driver using masked number.
