The latest study of Mamat University in Australia has shown that lighting in light at night increases the risk of type 2 diabetes. The direct reason for this is to disturb the sleep and waking bicycle due to artificial lighting. In this, not only the blue light emanating from the device like smartphone, tablet is the main responsible, but the yellow lights coming out of the lamps are also a threat to the people. Study says that the risk of developing Kind 2 diabetes can increase considerably by coming into contact with artificial light at night, especially between midnight to 6:00 am.
University researchers studied about 85,000 people between the ages of 40 and 69 for nine years and monitored their light contact through the device worn in the wrist. It found a strong relationship between light contact and development of type 2 diabetes at night. The risk of developing the disease was 67 percent higher in the top 10 percent of the top 10 percent of the people who are exposed to light at night. This relationship remained even after taking into account factors such as sleep duration and overall health routine.
Although the study does not prove the cause and effects, but it suggests that the artificial light disrupts the body’s natural sleep-jagging bicycle and it directly affects the man’s metabolism. This can be caused by smartphone and blue light emanating from TV, as well as yellow light coming out of the reading lamp.
In the report, the study -linked headwriter said, “Avoiding nightlight is a simple and cost -effective advice that can help reduce the global burden of type 2 diabetes.”
The study in the study is not taken into consideration, which could affect the level of blood sugar and socio -economic factors were considered only on regional basis. In addition, individual sensitivity to lights vary greatly. Currently, in order to strengthen the relationship between light and diabetes, there is a need for future and intensive study, but these conclusions suggest that limiting screen time before bedtime and getting good sleep is beneficial for health.
