Scientists Build Smiling Robotic Face Made of Dwelling Human Pores and Skin Cells

Scientists in Japan prepared a smiling face with human alive skin. A smiling face can also be used as a robot face. This skin -made smiling face is drawing attention worldwide. It can be affixed to the face of a humanoid robot. Apart from smile, other facial expressions can also come.

Researchers at Tokyo University have prepared it using a live tissue. Actually this tissue was prepared in the lab with human cells. According to the BBC report, researchers have said that this development will also invent self-healing skin in future, which will not be cut easily. This study has been published in a journal called Cellular Experiences Bodily Science. This skin is quite soft and can also repair itself. It looks like real skin.

Apart from this, researchers also tried to create ligaments that connect the skin to the inner tissue. The first small holes were made to use it in the robot. They were followed by a gel on them which had collagen. This skin was then affixed to the robot’s face. This new product was quite flexible and the skin was not bursting even when the face was moved by the robot.

According to Professor SHOJI TAKEUchi, who leads research, a method has come out through this discovery that will easily connect the skin with complex structures in the coming time. However, this new product is currently in the initial phase. It is yet to undergo many types of tests which can also take years. Only then can it be used commercially.

Researchers say that this development can also be used in preventing skin aging in the coming time. That is, the man’s skin will be prevented from getting old quickly. It will also prove to be useful in cosmetic and plastic surgery.
