According to Android Authority, the launch of pixelsnap accessories can already be facilitated to charge the phone like a smart display. If the new HUB method of Google comes in the phone, then using Charger with Get Up and Ring Get Up, you can bring the phone into charging-display mode by placing it on the tabletop, a large extent similar to the standby method of iPhones.
Advertising and trade database leaks have also revealed that Pixelsnap Charger’s codename is Stn4 and it can come in “Rock Candy” (Black) and “Mist” (off-white) color variants. It can get accurate alignment like Magsafe, as QI 2.2 includes Magnetic Energy Profile (MPP).
Reports suggest that the Pixel 10 series will use a charging controller chip called convenentpower CPS4041, which will be able to support 60W wireless charging. However, real watts will set Google in the phone.
It matters a lot because till now Android had only QI 1 or Bottleware based wireless charging and magnetic experience like Magsafe was missing. However, Android’s first real Magsafe Moment with Pixel 10 can be seen, which will get fast charging with accurate and strong alignment, as well as support of magnetic accessories.
The Pixel 10 series may be launched in August 2025. Produce by Way of Google event can be held on August 13 and the phone can be available from August 20. Pixelsnap ecosystem and QI 2.2 support announcements are expected to be held in this event.
