Albinder Dhindsa, CEO of Blinkit, shared its information on the X account. Currently, the company has started this service in Gurugram region inside Delhi NCR. Currently, 5 ambulances have been installed in the fleet, which has become available to work since January 2, 2025. However, this feature is limited to a region, Albinder has confirmed that this facility will be introduced soon in other areas.
According to Dhindsa, the arrival time of these ambulances is about 10 minutes, but everyone knows about traffic conditions. However, this is a good initiative. The company does not matter here and the company wants to provide service at affordable prices. Apart from this, the ambulance will have paramadic staff, trained driver and an assistant. These ambulances will be equipped with essential life saving devices, including oxygen cylinders, an AED (automated external defibrilater), a stretcher, a monitor, a suction machine and the necessary emergency medicines and injections. However, the support of ventilator and neonatal is not included.
The company aims to provide this service to all major cities in the next two years. He did not disclose the exact charge, but according to the shared screenshot, it has a flat charge of Rs 2,000. This service will benefit many patients who need instant ambulance service.
