According to NASA, CME i.e. coronal mass ejections throw out billions of tons of plasma, which moves at a speed of 100 to 3 thousand kilometers per second. They can harm things coming on their way. After hitting the magnetic field of the earth, they can be ruined even satellites.
Every other first! Our parker sun probe flew thru an eruption from the solar, and noticed it “vacuuming up” length mud after being abandoned from the formation of the Sun Machine. It’s giving @Nasasun Scientists a great take a look at length climate and its attainable results on Earth.… pic.twitter.com/acwlxoli6m

If you want to understand CME in more easy language, these are large clouds of solar plasma. After the solar explosion, clouds spread to the sun’s magnetic field in space. They expand due to moving in space and often reach a distance of several lakh miles. Many times they collide with the magnetic field of planets. When their direction is towards the earth, they can cause geo magnetic disturbances. Due to these, satellites can cause short circuits. Power grid may affect. They can also danger the astronauts present in the Earth’s orbit.
However, Parker Solar Probe captured the CME incident on 5 September last year. The Sweap Instrument in Parker saw particles traveling up to 1,350 km per second speed. The study associated with this has been published in ‘The Astrophysical Journal’. Scientists say that this CME is the nearest CME seen so far in the Sun. According to scientists, such a big CME was not seen earlier in the place where Parker Solar Probe is.
The study also states that the Paraker Sol Prob’s heat shield, radiators and thermal protection systems maintained its temperature to avoid the loss of CME.
Scientists have not known much about the Sun. Solar incidents have accelerated in recent years. The reason for this is the solar cycle, which has stimulated the sun. This is called solar maximum. The round of these incidents happening in the Sun will continue till 2025.
