Zomato do business in restrained orders meals on bargain via meals rescue component

ZOMATO has launched a new feature for its users in India, which is to reduce the waste of food from the canceled order. This feature named Food Rescue allows users to get canceled orders through others from nearby restaurants at affordable prices for a limited time. Food delivery platforms say that customers will get orders in a short time and in unnecessarily packaging. The thing to note is that only a few selected food products will come in this service, it will not include ice cream or shake etc.

Zomato’s Food Rescue feature

In a blog post, ZOMATO has announced that customers will be seen on the app within 3 kilometers of recently canceled order delivery partners. Orders will be available to customers who clause for just a few minutes. At the same time, the real customers (who have ordered and canceled) as well as people around them will not be able to get that related order. If the payment of the canceled order has already been made online, then the amount paid through the new customer will be shared with him and the restaurant partner. ZOMATO says that platform charge will only keep the necessary government tax.

According to the food delivery platform, 99.9 percent of its restaurant partners want to sign up for this feature. Along with the food rescue, they will get a compensation for a canceled order and will also get a small portion of the amount paid by that customer. ZOMATO says that apart from this, the delivery partners will also be given complete compensation for the entire journey.

To prevent misuse of this feature, the real customer will have to pay a cancellation charge to cancel the order, which is 100 percent of the total amount. ZOMATO has made it clear that the distance or temperature is not seen on this feature, such as ice cream, shake, smoothie and other spoiled items. At the same time, customers who like vegetarian food will not see non -vegetarian orders.
