Seeing the increasing cases of Corona virus epidemics in Maharashtra, the state government has set up strict lockdowns, due to which food delivery apps like ZOMATO and Swiggy have now stopped taking orders after 8 pm. Both these apps sent their users notification on the first day of night Corfy and informed that they should place their orders before 8 pm so that food can be delivered to them as soon as possible. Both Swigi and Jomato have told their users via messages that they will not accept any order after 8 pm.

In Mumbai, both ZOMATO and Swiggy have an in-app message, which provides information that the company will not accept the order after 8 pm. After 8 o’clock in the night, if you order food through zomato, you will see the message, “We’re currently not accepts ordered orders online. We’ll be back soon.” At the same time, Swigi’s message reads, “We are not delivered here at the moment!”.

This new step of both food delivery apps has been taken under the new lockdown guidelines by the Maharashtra government. Talking about the growing corona virus case in Maharashtra, this number has crossed 47,000. In Mumbai on Sunday, the number was crossed 11,000, which is the largest figure since the onset of the epidemic. In view of the increasing case, the Maharashtra government has announced the night curfew, along with the entire lockdown on the weekend will be installed. Talking about night curfew, it will run from 8 am to 7 am. Both Jomato and Swiggy are following the government’s orders in this sense. However, this new lockdown will remain till 30 April.

The government’s notification states, “Tech-their orders, parcels and home delivery services will be operational between 7 am to 8 pm on Monday to 8 pm. Only home delivery service will be allowed between 7 am and 8 am in the weekend.

The government has started the vaccination process for people aged 45 years and above. For this, users will have to register themselves by visiting the Cowin portal and then go to their nearest center and take a vaccination. In private hospital, Rs 250 will be charged for vaccination, while free vaccinations are being given in government hospitals.
