YouTube will now show 5 advertisements instead of 2!

YouTube is reportedly quietly testing the new Ed Policy, where free users are showing five advertisements one after the other. So far, Google-owned video-sharing platform shows more than two advertisements to its free users. Information about showing five advertisements simultaneously has been shared by many people on social media. However, it seems that this change is currently being tested on limited number of free users.

On Twitter, some users have given their information that they see five advertisements one after the other on YouTube. Certainly these advertisements are visible to free users. It seems that YouTube is testing a new ad policy. With the number of complainants being very limited, it can be estimated that it is currently limited to some users.

Twitter user mermaidvee (@badgyalveeeve) wrote in his complaint tagging the official Twitter handle of YouTube, (translated) “So @youtube two advertisements were not enough that now you want to run five advertisements, which no one cares and I (advertisement) cannot skip.”

At the same time, The Ricked One (@loganc01962550) also complained about showing five advertisements by YouTube Tweet wrote.

Replying to a user’s tweet above, YouTube said that such an incident is called bumper AIDS, in which users are shown a maximum of five advertisements one after the other. These advertisements are of 6 seconds and cannot be skipped. The news was first shared by Gizmochina.

The tweet says, (translated) “This can be due to a particular type of advertising format, called bumper AIDS, as they are only 6 seconds long. If you want, you can send feedback directly from YouTube via Send feedback tool.”

At present, YouTube has not made any official announcement about the large -scale rollout of such bumper ad, so it is difficult to say that in the coming time, all free users will get to see such advertisements or not.
