Xiaomi launches 2-in-1 laptop with Snapdragon 8CX Gen 2

Chinese company Xiaomi has launched Mi Pocket Book 12.4 2-in-1 laptop. It is the Chinese variant of Xiaomi Accumulation S 12.4 launched last year. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 8CX Gen 2 processor. The company has made it available on pre-order its domestic market in China.

It has a 7W TDP chipset, which has a maximum clock speed of 3.15MHz, 8 cORES + 8 stories. It has 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM. It also has a built-in micro SD card port from which memory can be increased to 512 GB. It has a 12.4 inch IPS LCD panel that offers 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, peak brightness of 500 notes. It has Corning Glass 5 for protection. Its 5 megapixel camera can be used for sensor selfie and video calls. It also has a 13 -megapixel camera sensor on the back. This laptop is pre-installed with the Arm-based version of Windows 11. It has a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity. Its 4,920 mAh battery supports 65 W fast charging.

Last year, the Personal Computer (PC) global market has fallen by 16 percent. Recession behind this, increase in energy cost and more interest rates are major reasons. Last year, the total shipments in this market stood at 28.51 crore units. The total shipments of desktop and notebook declined by 29 percent to about 6.54 crore units in the fourth quarter.

Lenovo ranks first in the Global PC market. This is followed by HP, Dell, Apple and Asus. PC sales increased rapidly worldwide during epidemic about two years ago. However, the PC’s shipments last year have been higher than the period before Corona. The report of market research firm Canalys stated that the shipments of the notebook declined by about 19 percent to 22.38 crore units last year. It decreased by 30 percent in the fourth quarter and its shipments were about 5.14 crore units. In terms of market share, Lenovo retained its first place in the fourth quarter and the whole year. The company’s shipments were about 1.55 million units. The Chinese company had a market share of 23.9 percent last year.
