Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) has revealed in a post on social media platform X that Xiaomi 15 series and Redmi 14 5G can be launched in the country in February. However, this tipster has not said whether this will include the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Extreme or not. Apart from this, no further information has been given about Redmi 14 5G. In November last year, Xiaomi 15 was spotted on the website of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) with model number 24129PN74I. This indicated the soon launch of Xiaomi 15 in India.
Last year, the company had introduced Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Extremely in the country. The specifications of the Xiaomi 15 series in the country may be similar to these smartphones introduced in China. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset has been provided in these smartphones. These run on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro have a Ducati tuned triple rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary camera.
Xiaomi may also launch Civi 5 Pro soon. It will replace the Civi 4 Professional introduced last year. This could be the first smartphone with Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. It may have a Leica tuned camera unit. Dual bionic front camera and metal middle frame can be given in this smartphone. Recently, tipster Impish Pikachu had said in a post on China’s messaging platform Weibo that the price of Civi 5 Pro could be CNY 3,000 (about Rs 34,900). Its rear camera island is likely to have a round design. The Civi 4 Professional also had a similar design. In India, Xiaomi launched Civi 4 Pro as Xiaomi 14 Civi. Civi 5 Pro may have a 1.5K quad screen. It can be given a hole-punch slot for dual front camera.
