Through the FAQ page, WhatsApp has announced that WhatsApp service will not support the device working on Android 4.0.4 and previous versions from Monday 1 November. The instant messaging app has advised users to switch their devices before 1 November and backup all their chats before the service is closed.

However, WhatsApp did not mention the name of the smartphone on which WhatsApp service is going to be closed from Monday. But you can definitely check what version your Android device works .. 1. First go to Settings and click on About Telephone.
2. Now you have to scroll down and come down, where you will see Android Model.
3. If your Android version is 4.0.4 or older, then you have to switch your device to the Android version above it.
If you are one of all the affected users whose WhatsApp service is not working on the phone from November 1, then you should backup all your chats as soon as possible.
To back up the chats, you have to first go to the settings of WhatsApp and click on Chat Supplementary. Apart from this, you have to tap on three dots by clicking on their chats to backup the chat of a group or one person. Now you have to go to the option of Extra and export the chat.
