Rajasekhar said to Devices 360, “Once it is installed, this fake WhatsApp starts circulating a message automatically stating that click on this link to download. The motive of the hacker seems to be stealing more than more users’ data through this app.”

He said that more and more police department and media department users are being targeted by WhatsApp Red. Such links have been sent to many police officers of Delhi and Rajasthan.
