According to the information revealed by the feature tracker Wabetainfo, the instant messaging platform for the recent WhatsApp beta for iOS updates includes some codes that show that users will soon be able to choose an accent color for the theme of some parts of UI. These include the number of messages on the right side of the chat list, circle around the status update, the color of the selected tab and some buttons on the interface.
On the new stable version of WhatsApp on iOS, these UI elements are seen with blue color accent. A screenshot with a 5 color accent was shared by WABetaInfo, with an option between WhatsApp’s green accent, current blue option, an off-white color, pink and purple color. Allegedly, users will be informed that selecting one of the 5 options will only update the main branding color of the app.
According to WABETAINFO, a new version WhatsApp beta iOS is being made available for testers through Testflight Program with support of a new feature for 24.1.10.72. Beta testers can now use a new sticker editor that can completely eliminate the need for other stickers apps.
According to the information shared by WABETAINFO, tapping the existing stickers will facilitate beta testers to edit through edit sticker button. Meanwhile, Create Your On Name A Second button will allow users to make their own stickers on the app. While making stickers, users will also be able to remove the background from the photo on their smartphone.
According to the feature tracker, the new sticker editor is currently being released for beta testers. The color accent picker may take some time to be available for testers. WhatsApp usually maintains the same feature between the two platforms. Therefore, these features are also expected to come for WhatsApp on Android in future.
