A new report by WhatsApp feature tracker Wabetainfo claims that Whatsapp will soon allow people to upload high-quality photos and videos on status. Currently, messaging platforms compress photos and videos uploaded to the status update by users. Competitive service like IMESSAGE and Telegram allows to upload photos and videos in HD.
The report also includes the preview of the HD status feature. According to the screenshot, the feature can be accessed from the drawing editor. The messaging platform is allegedly issuing WhatsApp Beta 2.23.26.3 updates for Android. However, this feature is not yet available to testers and is expected to be introduced in the beta version of the future of the app.
Whatsapp brought the option of sending photos and videos to HD quality in August this year. This feature allows videos to send videos to 720p resolution instead of Standard 480P resolution.
The company headed by Mark Zuckerberg is also allegedly developing a new feature that will allow iPhone users to share their audio while sharing their screen during video calls. This will allow users to listen to video and music audio together when someone will share their screen in video calls.
