Whatsapp may just starting attribute to hush unsolicited mail or unknown callers

Messaging service can soon be solved on WhatsApp or the problem of spam calls. A feature can be introduced in this app used around the world, so that such calls can be silent. This messaging service is based on phone numbers and a person can call another registered user despite not being saved as a contact in his address book.

According to the information given by WABetaInfo, who tracks new features on WhatsApp, the new beta version of WhatsApp for Android includes codes for features that users will be able to silence the calls from unknown numbers. However, the new feature has not been finalized and is being developed. A screenshot about this is also shared by WABetaInfo in which the Settings menu shows a silence togle for unknown callers. By enabled this togle, calls can be silent from such phone numbers which are not in the user’s address book.

This feature can be effective in preventing scams and spam calls. Apart from this, users can also get security in such communities where the phone number of the maker is visible. WhatsApp has not given any information about this. The development of this feature is shown for Android and can also be made available for iOS. It may also change before providing it to users.

Recently, WhatsApp had said that it has banned more than 29 lakh accounts in India in January. WhatsApp had said that apart from responding to users’ complaints and taking action on them, it also uses tools and resources to prevent the behavior that damages his platforms. The WhatsApp spokesperson had said, “WhatsApp is ahead in preventing harassment in end-to-end-end messaging services. To keep users safe on our platforms, WhatsApp has made continuous investment in artificial intelligence and other technology, data scientists and experts.” WhatsApp received a total of 1,461 reports in January and 195 cases were selected for action.
