WhatsApp has said that it received 335 complaints and action was taken at 21 accounts between 1 February to 21 February. Out of the total complaints, 194 was appealed to ban in 194 while other complaints were received about support, product support and safety.
“We answer all complaints, except for those who feel that the complaint has been sent twice or duplicate. According to the complaint, an account is called ‘Actioned’ when it is either banned or activated again on the basis of old complaints.” The messaging platform said in the report released on Friday.
According to the report, in February, WhatsApp banned 14.26 lakh accounts. The Indian account is identified with a +91 phone number.
“This user safety report gives information about the user complaints and actions on the accounts. This includes all the steps that we have taken to stop any kind of vulgar behavior on the platform,” a WhatsApp official said.
In the last few years, WhatsApp has continuously invested in Artificial Intelligence. Along with this, many other techniques have also been resorted to. Apart from this, data scientists and experts have also been included so that users can be given safe platforms.
