Whatsapp: Google Meat -like feature on WhatsApp, will be able to make calls, start testing of group video calls for 32 people

Popular messaging platform WhatsApp has announced to roll out a new feature called Name Hyperlinks by the end of this week. With the help of this feature, users will be able to start a new call or will be able to join a call already running. The ‘call link’ option will be added inside the call tab. Users will be able to create a link for audio or video calls, which can be easily shared on other platforms. Meta owned WhatsApp has said that this service will start at the end of this week, but users will have to ensure that they are running the latest version of the app. Meanwhile, WhatsApp has also announced that it has started testing group video calls for a maximum of 32 people on WhatsApp.

In a post on social media platform Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg announced that WhatsApp is rolling out the ‘Call Link’ feature. It gives users the option to create a link and share it between friends and family on the messaging app immediately. By clicking on the link, just one tap can be included in the call. This will be largely the same as the links of Google Meat or Microsoft teams work.

However, the company has not clearly stated which platforms will support this feature. However, it is expected that this feature will be available on Android and iOS. To create a link to the call, users have to tap on the ‘Create Call Link’ option inside the call tab. After this a link can be made for audio or video calls. It can be shared with family and friends. Users have to take care that they should have the latest version of the app. This feature will begin to rollout this week.

WhatsApp has also said that it has started testing group video calls for a maximum of 32 people on WhatsApp. Details related to the feature will be shared soon. The attention is that the feature of adding 32 people to group voice calls on WhatsApp is already present. It is available on both Android and iOS. Now preparations are being made to bring maximum 32 people on group video calls.
