The report by the website Wabetainfo, which tracks the features of WhatsApp, claims that WhatsApp has started rolling out the edit message feature for the Home Windows Desktop Beta App. The report states that the edit option is visible in the message menu and it allows users to edit the text messages sent. It has also been reported that this capacity is currently available for selected beta testers on the latest desktop app. However, this indicates that the feature can be released to all soon.
Under this feature, the user can edit it within 15 minutes of sending a message. Obviously, through this feature, users can rectify any wrong words or messages sent by them. The report for a 15 -minute time limit states that “the limit of editing the message has been set to maintain the authenticity of the conversation, so that users do not completely change the message after a long time, as this feature should be used only to fix typing errors.”
Apart from this, let us know that WhatsApp has recently announced a new ‘channel’ feature. This will be a broadcast feature, with the help of which people or organizens will be able to deliver information to their followers and will give them updates on their favorite subjects. It is first being launched in Colombia and Singapore. In the coming months, this feature will also be brought to other countries including India.
According to WhatsApp, the ‘channel’ is a simple, reliable and private way to get important updates. ‘Channel’ is being brought to a new tab named ‘Update’. In this tab, users will see ‘status’ and ‘channels’ being followed by them.
