Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg rolled out the new secret code for the chat lock feature on Thursday, allowing users to lock a chat of a password or fraz. The chat hidden behind the secret code will not be seen in the main chat list and only after entering the secret code, its access can be found, which will add a layer of security to the messaging platform.
Gadgets 360 tested this feature on the beta version of the app for Android smartphone. After opening the list of locked chat and tapping on the three-dot menu at the top> Chat Lock Settings> To hide the lock chat and enter a secret code that can be easily remembered. Now your locked chat will not be seen in the main chat window. Currently swiping down on the chat screen, WhatsApp will show a shortcut for a chatted chat, users can access them using their fingerprint or face ID.
After setting a secret code, there is only one way to see or show your lock on WhatsApp, you have to enter the same secret code in the search bar on the app. This will show protected chat by chat lock feature, but only when they do not leave the app and go out.
If you do not want to hide your chat on WhatsApp, then you can return to the normal chat by opening the lock chat by using your secret code, by opening the lock chat by tapping the CECRAT code feature to disable the lock chat.
WhatsApp also says that you will not have to enter different chat settings to lock a chat. You can just press it to lock the chat. The secret code has started for feature users, it will be available at global level in the coming months. However, there is no information about when it starts for WhatsApp desktop or not.
