Whatsapp began trying out sticky label reactions for messages media know main points


Whatsapp is working on a feature that allows users to react to messages and media using stickers. The platform already supports emoji reacts, so that users can select any emoji on the app and express their feelings on any message. Now Whatsapp is allegedly adding sticker reaction to messages and media files on its Android app. This feature is available on WhatsApp for Android Beta Android 2.25.13.23 update which is available through Google Play Beta Program. Testers cannot try this feature because work is still going on.

According to a blog post by feature tracker Wabetainfo, WhatsApp will soon allow people to react to messages and media using stickers. This will help users to react to a message quickly without typing the message. The new feature will allegedly support the entire series of stickers available in the sticker keyboard, which also includes stickers downloaded from Whatsapp’s official sticker store.

According to the feature tracker, users will also be able to use stickers already saved stickers as well as third-party stickers imported through external apps. Animated stickers will be supported as a reaction, which includes stickers designed using a lotty framework. WhatsApp target by incorporating animated stickers is to increase the reaction with more expressive and dynamic visuals in comparison to normal stable emoji. This feature was prepared at WhatsApp beta 2.25.13.23 for Android smartphone and it is not yet available for Test as it is still underway. Sticker reactions for messages and media are currently supported on other messaging apps IMessage.

Apart from this, the report includes a screenshot showing the sticker reaction feature, which shows how it will look when it rolls out. According to the screenshot, pressing the message for a long time will show a pop-up menu with 6 available emojis with a sticker. Currently, all the emoji available on the message reaction smartphones are limited. The sticker reaction functionality is not yet available for beta testers and may finally change before release. It is expected that it will be rolled out for beta testers first, after which it will be made available to all users on the stable channel.
