The latest WhatsApp user safety monthly report has been published keeping according to the new IT Rule 2021. The report details the actions taken by WhatsApp based on complaints and tools to stop their own misuse during a period of 46 days between June 16 and July 31 this year. Whatsapp says that it banned a total of 30 lakh 27 thousand Indian accounts during the period mentioned. Out of this, the ban on action through the user’s complaints and the post of India Grievance Officer was only 73, and the rest was detected to prevent harmful behavior on the platform through its tools and resorts of WhatsApp.
The report states that a total of 594 complaints were received from Indian users during a period of 46 days, out of which 316 were banned appeals. In addition, 137 of these complaints were related to account support, and the rest were related to security and product support.
WhatsApp says that detecting misconduct using its own automatic tool is operated in three phases of lifestyle of the account: during registration, during messaging, and in negative feedback response, which it receives as a user report and block. The instant messaging platform says that a team of analysts helps these functions evaluate high levels of cases and improve the effectiveness over time.
