‘Yatri App’ (Yatri App) is an app launched by Western Railway, on which train passengers can now see the live status of the train as well as announcement, latest time table, map of main railway stations etc. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Games Collect as well as Apple Collect. Apart from this, the app can also be downloaded from the railway website.
Through the app, passengers will be able to see the live location of the train between Churchgate station in South Mumbai and the right stations of Palghar district. In addition, passengers in the app will also get information about tourist attraction around these stations, Mumbai Metro, Mumbai Bus Service etc. This app has been developed by the Railways with the help of CDP India Private Limited. The Railway Division has shared a post on its social media handle in which the app launch has been mentioned.

According to the information given in the press release, it has been said about the app that Western Railway has installed GPS in all its EMUs for this. With the help of this, the real time location of the train is known to the passengers. There is also a special thing that this app has also been designed keeping in mind the disabled travelers. Here the support of voice command is also given in it. So that passengers can easily ask for live status of the train by speaking easily through Google Workman.
Apart from all the features mentioned, in this app, emergency contact numbers of railway and medical have also been provided to passengers so that passengers can use them in emergency. Earlier last year, the Central Railway also launched one such app to check the live status of the train for the suburbs.
