Western Digital launched 2 new hard drives in India


American data storage company Western Digital on Wednesday launched two new hard drives in the Indian market. The hard drive called ‘My Passport’ and ‘My Book’ is equipped with password protection and hardware encryption.

Portable hard drive ‘My Passport’ is available in the capacity of one TB, two TB and four TB, which cost Rs 7,980, Rs 11,910 and Rs 17,140 respectively.

The desktop hard drive ‘My Book’ is available in the capacity of three TB, four TB, six TB and eight TB, which cost Rs 13,050, Rs 16,470, Rs 26,600 and Rs 29,500 respectively.

Khalid Wani, director of Western Digital (Content Solutions Business), said in a statement, “The use of data is increasing day by day. So these products have been introduced by reiterating the importance of personal data solution.”

These devices are available in black, red, white and blue and they get two years of warranty.
