Truecaller Hits 3 Million Paid Customers Globally in Might 2025 All You Want to Know

In May 2025, Truecaller has crossed two big milestones with its paid user base. The company crossed the figure of globally 3 million paid subscribers on 17 May and then reached 1 million paid users on iOS on 27 May. This growth has been observed after the new AI-based features of Truecaller and major changes on iOS. The company is now not just as a caller ID tool, but is carrying forward as a premium identity layer for mobile communication.

As of 31 March 2025, the total paid users of Truecaller were 2.86 million, of which 0.86 million iOS were users. This means that in just one and a half months, the company has added a total of 14 lakh new paid users, out of which about 1.4 lakhs are connected with only iOS. In December 2024, this number was 2.72 million (total) and 0.82 million (iOS) respectively, ie growth has been continuously.

On this occasion, TruColor CEO Rishnu Jhunjhunwala said, “I am happy to see that more and more users are understanding the importance of becoming a premium user. In the last few years, we have made our premium offering much better and simplified. Today our premium users get many valuable products like our AI-Assistant, Advance Spam Blocking and Fraud Insurance.”

He added, “Since January, our premium user on iOS now also gets a live collar ID solution. Our strategy and product and adaptation on iOS have shown a promising trend. Our family package, where you can include four more members of your family in the premium package and get discounts, have also seen good growth.”

On the other hand, COO Frederick Kejel, COO of Truecaller, said, “We will continue to pursue the offering of membership by adding more equipment to improve our users’ communication experience.”

The growth rate on the iOS platform has been even faster. Between March 2025 and May 2025, IOS users have recorded a growth of about 16% in just two months. Truecaller says that this spike has come due to the company’s AI feature update and better UI/UX, which has made the app a powerful communication tool, especially for users who are more aware of data privacy and call security.
