Upcoming Ram temple in Ayodhya likely to cost Rs 1,800 crore | Lucknow News – Times of India


AYODHYA: Around Rs 1,800 crore is expected to be incurred on the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, said general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, while attending a meeting organised at the Faizabad Circuit House on Sunday.
Members of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, formed on the Supreme Court‘s order for the construction of Ram temple, approved rules and manuals of the Ram Mandir Trust. The trust members unanimously decided to make space for installation of idols of prominent seers and great personalities of Hindu dharma on the premises of Ram Janmabhoomi.
Talking to TOI, Champat Rai said that after a long deliberation with people linked with the construction of the Ram Mandir, the rules and bylaws of the trust were finalized at the meeting. The trust has decided to give place to idols of sages and main characters of Ramayana period on the Ram Janmabhoomi’s premises, he said.
He added that 14 out of 15 members of the trust attended the meeting on Sunday. The construction of the Ram temple is expected to be completed by December 2023 and Lord Ram is expected to be seated in the sanctum sanctorum by the Makar Sankranti festival in Janu- ary 2024, Rai added. Construction committee chairman Nripendra Mis- hra, trust chairman Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, treasurer Govind Dev Giri, member Udupi Peethadheeshwar Vishwatirtha Prasannaa- charya, Dr Anil Mishra, Ma- hant Dinendra Das, Kamesh- war Chaupal and ex-officio member, district magistrate Nitish Kumar, were present, while Keshav Parasharan, Yugpurush Parmanand, Vimlendra Mohan Pratap Mishra and ex-officio mem- ber state principal secretary, home, Sanjay Kumar, vir- tually participated in the meeting.
