Volkswagen today launched the First Anniversary Edition of the Taigun in the Indian market. The Volkswagen Taigun First Anniversary Edition is available in a new ‘Rising Blue’ colour option along with the existing Curcuma Yellow and Wild Cherry Red. The First Anniversary Edition of the Volkswagen Taigun will be available across 152 Volkswagen touchpoints in India. Customers can purchase the Taigun Limited Edition through the official website or via the nearest Volkswagen showroom.
The Taigun First Anniversary Edition is offered on the Dynamic Line, Topline variant available on the 1.0 TSI MT & AT. Featuring a ‘1st Anniversary” badging across the exterior and interior. It gets 11 new elements, such as body-coloured door garnish, high lux fog lamps, black C pillar graphics, black ORVM caps, door-edge protectors, black roof foil, window visors, and aluminum pedals.
Powered by the TSI technology, the Volkswagen Taigun is available in two engine options – a 1.0L TSI and a 1.5L TSI EVO. The 1.0-litre TSI engine produces a peak power of 115 PS@5,000-5,500 rpm and a max torque of 178 Nm@1,750-4,500 rpm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AT option.
Whereas the 1.5-litre TSI EVO engine churns out a power of 150 PS@5,000-6.000 rpm and a torque of 250 Nm@1,600-3,500 rpm. A 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG transmission options are on offer. This engine also gets Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) and idle start/stop technology.
