The portal provides an option to block lost or stolen mobile phones and can also report the mobile phone. Additionally, users can also trace their lost or stolen phone key using the device’s IMEI number. The good thing is that once the phone is blocked, no one will be able to use it and the network of any telecom operator across India will not work in it.

How to block lost or stolen mobile phone

• First of all go to Sanchar Sathi Portal (Sanchar Sathi Portal) through any web browser on mobile or PC.

• If you want to block your mobile phone, tap the red ‘Cancel Stolen/Misplaced CellClick on ‘ option.
• Now a form will appear in front of you. Fill all the related information asked in it and authenticate your number through OTP.PublishClick on ‘ button.

Note: Here you will get the mobile number present in the lost or stolen phone (if there were 2 numbers, then both), brand name of the phone, location of the lost or stolen, date of lost or stolen, police complaint and its number, name of the phone owner, Information like address, mobile number, any ID number etc. will have to be filled carefully and correctly.

As soon as the form is submitted, the mobile phone will be completely blocked and no one will be able to use it again. Even if a person inserts a SIM in that phone, that SIM will not work in the phone.

How to unblock a lost or stolen mobile phone

Now if you get your mobile phone back, you will have to un-block it before you can use the SIM. To do this follow the steps given below.
