Smartphones to launch in India this month – Times of India

September saw a flurry of smartphone launches, and it seems that October will follow suit with various brands releasing smartphones across different price segments. Here’s a compiled list of smartphones confirmed to launch in India this month.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE
Samsung has confirmed that it will launch its premium smartphone — Galaxy S23 FE in India on October 4. It’s anticipated that the design of the Galaxy S23 FE will mirror that of the Galaxy S23, featuring a flat display. Speculations suggest that the phone will be powered by an Exynos 2200 chipset, although there are rumours circulating about the potential inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. According to insiders, the Galaxy S23 FE is set to have 8GB of RAM and will be available in storage options of 128GB and 256GB. The device is projected to incorporate a 4500mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging.
Google Pixel 8 series
Tech giant Google has also announced that it will launch its flagship Pixel 8 series of smartphones on October 4. The upcoming Pixel 8 series is said to consist of two smartphones — Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Internally, it is expected that the Pixel 8 series will be driven by Google’s in-house chipset, the Tensor G3, in its third iteration. Both smartphones are projected to come pre-installed with Android 14. In terms of display, the Pixel 8 is rumoured to feature a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Conversely, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to showcase a 6.7-inch flat display, offering a variable 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1600 nits. The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will see minor upgrades in battery capacities, with the former housing a 4,485mAh battery and the latter incorporating a 4950mAh battery.
Vivo V29 series
Vivo is all set to expand its V-series of smartphones in India. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Vivo V29 and V29 Pro in India on October 4. On the official Vivo India website, details about the Vivo V29 series are highlighted, presenting key features of the smartphones. These features encompass a triple rear camera setup, Aura light, and an LED flash situated on the back panel. Additionally, the rear panel of these forthcoming smartphones will display India’s innovative 3D particle technology finishing.
OnePlus Open
Various online rumours suggest that OnePlus may launch its first foldable smartphone — OnePlus Open on October 19 in India. Rumours surrounding the upcoming OnePlus Open smartphone hint at the possibility of a triple rear camera setup, potentially including a periscope lens to improve zoom capabilities. Leaked details also suggest the presence of a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for easy unlocking and a display featuring a punch-hole camera design. Moreover, sources indicate that the smartphone will run on the Android 13 OS, customized with the OxygenOS Fold interface by OnePlus, providing a smooth and effective user experience, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
Oppo Find N3
Oppo has started teasing its next generation foldable smartphone in India. The company has started posting videos of Oppo Find N3 Flip on X (formerly known as Twitter) with a coming soon tag. The smartphone maker is expected to launch the smartphone in India this month. Oppo Find N3 Flip sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ internal display and a 3.26-inch AMOLED external screen. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset and runs Android 13 operating system. The flip phone is backed by a 4,300 mAh battery and comes with 44W fast charging support.
