Samsung brings flagship-level camera features to Galaxy A-series smartphones – Times of India


The Galaxy A-series smartphones have always been the middle ground between the flagship Galaxy S-series and the budge Galaxy M-series smartphones. It is also the series which brings the balance between price, features and performance.
Take Galaxy A73/Galaxy A53, for example, both handsets include a premium design along with brings some class-leading features, especially the cameras.
The Galaxy A73 5G and Galaxy A53 5G include a flagship-like camera. For instance, both handsets come with Optical Image Stabilisation along with VDIS. Apart from that the Galaxy A73 5G comes equipped with a 108MP primary sensor which is also the sensor found in the company’s flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The story does not just end there. These smartphones also come with a slew of hardware and software features that are also usually found in the company’s flagship smartphones. Samsung has now introduced the AI-based camera system for its A-series smartphones including the Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A53.

Real-time scene optimisation
According to Samsung, the AI system on Galaxy A series smartphones can analyse the scene and suggest the best possible settings for that shot. The feature is called Scene Optimiser and it allows you to choose from various modes to get the perfect shot no matter the occasion.
Night mode
Apart from that, the Galaxy A-series smartphones also include Night mode which automatically activates when the camera detects its dark. This improves the low-light capabilities of smartphones.
AI Document Segmentation
It is another feature that makes document scanning easier without downloading any third-party software. The feature is built right within the cameras of Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A53. AI Document Segmentation distinguishes between the document you’re trying to scan and the background, even if the document isn’t lying flat
Single Take
Single Take is Samsung’s solution providing a one-stop solution for photos and videos. The mode automatically takes multiple types of shots including videos, boomerangs, etc in a single click.
According to the company, the AI behind the lens understands what is happening in the scene, identifying Peak Moments and Motion Triggers and capturing the best images and video clips in an instant. This can then be used to curate sharable content, like Black and White photos and Boomerangs for social media and more.
Auto Framing
As the name implies, the camera automatically detects how many people are there in the image and automatically switches to an ultra-wide lens or a wide mode to fit them all. The feature works with up to 5 people.
AI-based details enhancement features
Samsung has also included detail enhancement features like Detail Enhancer, AI- Upscaling, Remaster images, AI-Deblur, AI Upscaler, Object eraser, AI HDR, etc to further enhance the camera quality and overall user experience for users
