Apple Watch Ultra has a 76% bigger battery than Series 8: Report – Times of India

The recently unveiled Apple Watch Ultra comes with a battery that is 76% bigger than the Apple Watch Series 8 (45mm), according to newly revealed specifications in 3C Certification, a Chinese certification database.
If we go by the certification, then the Apple Watch Ultra‌ has a battery capacity of 542mAh while the 45mm Apple Watch Series 8 comes with a 308mAh battery, which would make the Watch Ultra battery 76% bigger. Apple has claimed that the Watch Ultra offers the longest battery life ever in an Apple Watch with a battery backup of up to 36 hours on normal usage and up to 60 hours with the Low Power mode. With the Low Power mode, the battery life can be extended as it shuts down a number of features like the Always On display, background app refresh and SpO2 measurements etc.
It is further claimed in the documents that the Apple Watch Series 8 has almost the same battery size as that of its predecessor, not to mention that both share the same chipset. As per the claims, the 41mm Watch Series 8 comes with a 282mAh battery, which is just 2mAh less than that of the 41mm Series 7. The 45mm Series 8 also features the same battery size as the 45mm Series 7.
