Now a few weeks are left for 2025 to start. Like 2024, in the coming year too we are going to see two solar eclipses. The first of these solar eclipses is going to occur on 29 March and the second on 21 September. Both of these will be partial solar eclipses, in which the Moon covers a very small part of the Sun. This year also the world saw two solar eclipses, but these were total and annular solar eclipses.

What’s Bias Sun Eclipse?

Bias Sun Eclipse (Partial Solar Eclipse) occurs when the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth, but does not cover the Sun completely. Due to this, only a part of the sun comes in shadow and the rest remains visible. Looking at it, it seems as if a corner of the sun has been cut off. This eclipse occurs when the outer part of the Moon’s shadow, called the “penumbra”, falls on the Earth.

Partial solar eclipse is not visible in the entire eclipse area, but is visible only in certain areas. Seeing it with naked eyes can cause damage to the eyes, hence it is necessary to use special solar filters. This eclipse is more common than other eclipses.

The eclipse will be visible in many areas, including northern Asia, parts of Europe, northern and western Africa, most of North America and some areas of northern South America, the Atlantic Ocean, and Arctic regions.

Bias Sun Eclipse 21 September, 2025

The second partial solar eclipse of 2025 will occur on September 21. This time it will be visible in the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic, Antarctica and the southern part of Australia.
