Solar Blasted X9 Sun Flare Greatest in 7 Years

It seems that the explosions in the sun have reached their peaks. According to reports, after a powerful explosion at the beginning of this week, Surya has again released the powerful solar flare. It is the most powerful flair emerged from the Sun in the last 7 years. Due to both explosions, a coronal mass ejacation (CME) is coming on the earth, due to which Aurora can be seen in the sky. According to Live Science report, the latest solar flare was of the category. It was released from Sunspot Ar3842 on Thursday. It has been estimated to have the highest X9 intensity, which is the highest in the last 7 years.

Earlier in the year 2017, solar flare of X11.8 and X13.3 was released from the Sun. Radiation towards Earth has increased due to the flair that came out on Thursday. This led to a temporary radio blackout over parts of Africa and South Atlantic Ocean. It is estimated that the cme that has come out towards the Earth will probably hit the earth on 6 October.

What’s sun flare

When the Sun’s magnetic energy is released, solar flares are formed from the lights and particles emanating from it. These flarers in our solar system are the most powerful explosions ever, which releases energy compared to billions of hydrogen bombs. Particles present in them travel their journey at the speed of light.

What’s CME (Coronal Mass Ejection)

There are large clouds of coronal mass eduction or cme, solar plasma. After the solar explosion, these clouds spread to the magnetic field of the sun in space. They expand due to moving in space and often reach a distance of several lakh miles. Sometimes they collide with the magnetic field of the planets. When their direction is towards the earth, it can create a geo-magnetic disturbance. Due to these, satellites may have short circuits and the power grid can be affected. If they are more affected, they can also danger the astronauts present in the Earth’s orbit.
