Sign Introduced Usernames to Stock Telephone Numbers Non-Public

Sign Messenger has launched a new feature so that users can now keep their phone number private on the app. Messenger has launched it under the name usernames. With the help of this feature, app users can connect with other users without sharing their phone number. Regarding the new beta feature, the Messenger Service App says that now the phone number of users will not be visible to anyone else by default. Users can now create a unique username for themselves, with the help of which they can connect with other people.

Sign is a private messenger app that has now given more privacy features to users. Its information is given in a blog post. Signal has said that instead of sharing your phone number with someone, now you can share your username. You can also generate a QR code for this, or also generate a link that will directly take other users to your username. With this, you will be able to connect to other people on the app in a pinch.

However, the phone number will still be mandatory to signup on the signal app. But when it comes to connecting to another user, the app has ended the obligation to tell someone else in it. A privacy setting is also given in the beta feature. With this help, you can also prevent yourself from finding yourself by other users, until they have that unique username.

The app says that all these updates are optional. That is, they are not being imposed by the app. But by default, the app has hidden your phone number. If the other user has not saved your number in the phone, then he will not be able to see your number on the app. If the user wants, it can change this update by going into settings. This new feature of the signal is currently in the beta version and soon all the users will be rolled out. For this, users should have the latest updated version of the app. Without it, the user will not be able to use the new feature.
