Scientists Created The Biggest 3-D Map of the Universe Steady 6 Million Galaxies Sunny

Indian scientists, along with an international team of astronomers, have unveiled the most wide 3-D map of the universe (3-d map of the universe). Scientists of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) were included in that team. According to media reports, the 3-D map gives information about the history of 11 billion years of the universe. The instrument used to make maps is named Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI). DESI helped scientists to measure the light of more than 60 million galaxies. There are 5 thousand robotics ‘eyes’ in this instrument.

According to reports, the help of a map helps to see the universe in its early stages. Scientists have also shown ‘Cosmic Internet’ in it. It is a complex pattern of galaxies, which consists of filamentary structures. The ‘Cosmic Web’ gives information about the dense areas of our universe.

According to reports, the team of Dr. Shadab Alam of TIFR worked on a map with the international team of astronomers. The Desi Instrument continued to observe for 5 years, after which more than 60 million galaxies could be measured. The team hopes that one day the map will have 4 crore galaxies of data.

Researchers have posted on their paper Arxiv. People can get new information about the beginning of the universe with such a big dataset. There can also be a discovery about the expansion of the universe. According to reports, work is still going on on the map. As the survey progresses and information will be found, which can also put light on the development of the universe.

Scientists from more than 70 institutes around the world have participated in this work. The Desi Instrument is deployed in an Observatory in the US. Remember that about 3 million galaxies were shown in the largest 3-D map of the universe so far. That map was prepared between 2000 and 2015.
