Samsung unveiled it globally on 11 May and will initially be available in markets like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 is priced at US $ 1,488, which is around Rs 1,27,000 in Indian currency.
Samsung has also confirmed that the international sales of this monitor will be launched and it will be made available in other countries soon. However, whether it will be brought in India or not, the information has not been shared at the moment.
According to Samsung, Odyssey OLED G6 is the world’s first monitor with a refresh rate of 500Hz. Pro gamers will get more smooth and response experience with this high-frame rate screen. Its QD-OLED panel technology claims to be able to give better color accuracy and deep black output. It has Vesa Displayhdr True Twilight 500 support and peak brightness can go up to 1,000 nits.
The Odyssey G6 monitor gives 2560×1440 pixels resolution and is equipped with samsung’s glare-islated technology, which claims to reduce the reflection to a great extent. The company says that the monitor is Pantone-Validated and displays more than 2,100 color shades and 110+ skin tone shades in a realistic manner. During the gaming session, it has OLED ENSURE+ Technology to protect against screen burn-in.
