How to de-link PayTm to Aadhaar Card
1) To de-link Aadhaar, first of all you have to call Paytm Customer Care Officer on 0120-4456456.
2) After the call is connected, follow the instructions. After this ask the customer service officer to de-link your Aadhaar Card from Paytm account. The customer service officer will ask some questions to determine your identity. Please provide your email ID before disconnecting the call.
3) You will receive an email after answering all the questions. Through email you will once again be asked to send the photograph of the Aadhar card.
4) Aadhaar Card will be de-linked from Paytm within 72 hours of sending the photo.
We have already told you how to de-link Aadhar card from Paytm. But in the present time you will also have to face some problems. As soon as your account is de-linked from the Aadhar card, the account will no longer be verified. In such a situation, you will not be able to transfer money from Paytm to any other person. This means that you will have to verify your Paytm Pockets once again for which PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Passport Quantity, Riding License and NREGA Task Card can be used. But this facility is not working smoothly right now.
While explaining the process to us, a Paytm customer care executive had said that other documents for KYC are not being accepted right now. Work on this is still going on. In such a situation, we would suggest you to think carefully and de-link the Paytm account from the Aadhaar number. Apart from this, it seems very ridiculous for Paytm to ask for the photograph of Aadhaar card again to do this, because we want to get rid of this very problem.
