PM Modi has shared three steps to avoid digital arrest fraud. This is the mantra ‘Wait-Sacho-Action Low’.
- The first step is ‘Wait’, in which he said that people should stop first and do not share personal information with anyone. If possible, a screenshot should be taken or recording.
- The second step is ‘Think’, where people should think and understand that no government agency ever gives such threats on the phone and does not demand money by inquiring through video calls.
- The third step is ‘Action Low’, where people should take immediate action against those who do such fraud. To do this, you can give information about the call to you by dialing cyber helpline number 1930 or file a report on www.cybercrime.gov.in.
