Indus Appstore will be launched on 21 February. As we told, apps will be listed in 12 Indian languages. This includes Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi and Tamil etc. Many well-known brands have already listed themselves in the Indus app store. Cell Premier League (MPL), Toi and Wow Skin Care are also part of this Indus app.
The company is also preparing to connect A23 Rummy, Gameskraft, Dream11, Rummy Pastime and Nazara Applied Sciences. About 4 months ago, PhonePe opened its app Marketplace for Android developers. The next objective of PhonePe is to challenge the monopoly of Google Play Games Gather. Currently, Google has 95 per cent market share in this sector and Apple’s app story is also modest.
The Indus app promised that it would take zero commission for in-app purchases, while Google and Apple’s app stores take commission between 15 per cent to 25 per cent for this work. Phonepe has the support of Walmart. Earlier the company was part of Flipkart.
