Whatsapp was facing criticism for the past several days due to its new privacy policy, due to which the instant messaging platforms are also suffering a lot. At the same time, it has now been revealed in the latest report that in the month of January, people had also reduced the use of WhatsApp payment feature in the month of December, due to which WhatsApp has made a tremendous deficit in the UPI transaction case. According to data from the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) released by the National Payments Corporation of India (NIII), in January, users had reduced the payment through WhatsApp. However, in contrast, PhonePe topped this category. According to the NPCI report, the PhonePe app has secured 41.21 percent stake in the total market share in the UPI app race, with the terms of transactional volume 2.35074 billion of all apps. The strong position of Walmart’s app has made it difficult to top Google Pay, which is still in second place.

According to post data on the NPCI site, the UPI transaction by WhatsApp has come down by 31 percent to 560,000, which was 810,000 in December. Despite the damage in the transaction volume, Facebook -owned app has increased the payment value by 22 percent, which was 36.44 crores in January. Whereas in the previous month it was allegedly 29.72 crores.

As we told that the PhonePe is located on the top in this list, which has received 968.72 million transjections in January, priced at 1,91,973.77 crore. The transjection value on the PhonePe app was 7.39 percent 902.03 million in December.

After the PhonePe, there is a second number of Google Pay in this list, under which 853.53 million transjections were done in January, priced at Rs 1,77,791.47 crore. Google Pay has seen a loss of 0.1 percent, which was 854.49 million in December, priced at 176,199.33 crore.

Paytm Bills Warehouse is once again at the third position in this list, with a transaction of 281.18 million in January, priced at Rs 33,909.50 crore. Talking about Amazon Pay, it contained 46.30 million transaction, which costs 4,044.38 crores.
