Opera’s battery saving feature is now available for desktop users

After several months of beta testing, Opera finally released the polished version of its battery saver feature for the desktop user. The company has claimed to increase the battery life by up to 50 per cent on keeping the battery saver feature active in the browser.

Let us tell you that the new opera battery saver feature will work only when there is no power cable in the laptop. A battery icon search and address field will be seen next to the field and it will be possible to activate the power saver mode through a pop up dialog box. For this, the battery icon has to be clicked. Users can switch on battery saving features as per their will. The browser will also find out that the laptop battery is reduced. And will suggest to activate the power saver mode.

This feature has also told about the steps to be taken to optimize the battery life. This reduces activity in the background tab. It does not pose the plug-in used. This reduces the frame rate by 30 frames per second.

Opera also claims that when the battery saver feature is activated, the laptop-PC remains 3 degrees and cold.
