Openai Purchased Oldest Area Chat Dot com from Indian Guy for Rs 126 Crore

Openai, a company that has brought a new revolution in the tech world with the launch of Chatgpt, has again come into the limelight. This time the company has become a topic of discussion with the purchase of domain chat.com which is one of the oldest web address till date. Openai bought this domain hubspot founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah. After the acquisition, the chat.com has been directly redirected to the Chat GPT.

The special thing is that Dharmesh Shah had achieved it only last year, for this about 15.5 million USD (about 130 crore rupees) was invested. Dharmesh had announced the sale of domains in March in March, although the buyer’s name was not mentioned during that time. He later shared information about the sale through social media platforms X.

Openai CEO Sam Altman has confirmed the acquisition in a post just stating “Chat.com”. A total of more than $ 15 million purchases show that Openai is investing big. Shah received shares in Openai as part of the deal, although he has not yet disclosed it. After the sale, Dharmesh described the chat.com on X as a very attractive domain which is necessary for the manufacture of a successful product or companies. Openai is increasing its global availability through this domain with this acquisition.
