Ola, Uberin Bother, Motorbike Taxis will be impounded in case of Violation of courtroom sequence

Companies like OLA and Uber, which provide bike taxi service through the app, may face difficulties in continuing this service in the capital. The Delhi government has said that if these companies do not follow the court order to ban bike tax, then their bike taxi will be confiscated.

The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the ban on the Delhi government’s bike taxi. This caused a shock to Uber which appealed to the court to continue this service. In the court, the Delhi government had argued that bike taxi violates the city’s laws as they do not have a license for this service. Uber said that his riders would lose livelihood due to a ban on it. The Principal Secretary and Transport Commissioner of the Delhi Government, Ashish Kundra told the reates that these companies should focus on the safety of passengers instead of running after profit. He said, “We will issue an advisory to these companies asking them to follow the court order. If they do not do so, we will start seizing vehicles.”

Uber and Ola did not answer the request for comment about this. Both these companies were also offering bike taxi service through their app on Tuesday. The Supreme Court had stayed the order of the High Court in which these bike taxi operators were allowed to continue service in Delhi. The High Court had directed the Delhi government not to take any action against these firms until a new policy is formed.

Justice Aniruddha Bose and Rajesh Bindal’s Vacation Bench stayed the High Court order of May 26. Along with this, the information about the notification of the final policy of the Delhi government’s lawyer before the end of July was recorded. Two separate petitions were being heard in the Supreme Court. These petitions were challenging the AAP Aadmi Party government’s order of 26 May in Delhi. Last week, the court sought an answer from the central government in this regard. The Delhi government last month approved the Motor Vehicle Agricultural Scheme. In this, cab aggregators and delivery service providers were regulated in the capital.
