To make the usefulness of the feature easier, WhatsApp has developed this feature in such a way that it works without any hassle on both portraits and landscape. Now WhatsApp for desktop will appear in a standalone window on the WhatsApp screen, which users can resice according to their needs. It will always be on top on the screen so that users can continue their video chat even during multi-tasking.
Whatsapp also said in its statement that all voice and video calls on its app are end-to-end encrypted. Security and privacy features will remain the same on call from mobile device or desktop PC.
WhatsApp also said that users can make only one-to-one calls on Windows and Mac machines from the desktop app. The Facebook -owned company said that this has been done because it will keep the call’s “Relability and High Quality” experience. In future, the company is also planning to include group voice and video call features.
Earlier in January, WhatsApp added another new security feature on Whatsapp Internet and Desktop. The company made the face and fingerprint unlock mandatory while linking the device. The company said that this feature would give users an additional security layer. With the new feature, users have to link their WhatsApp account to their computer through fingerprint or face ID. In such a situation, no outsider can activate WhatsApp Internet using your mobile.
