The company also launched several Android smartphones with it. The first glimpse of Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 was found. And Nokia 6 was made available for the international market. All four phones will also be launched in India. On the occasion of Mobile World Congress, Gadgets 360 spoke to HMD Global Vice President Ajay Mehta about the new phone and the company’s strategy.

He said, “Our effort is to launch Android phones in the end of May and early June.” However, the new 3310 may come first. He further said, “Date is still going on about Nokia 3310. We would like to launch it before the smartphone. But nothing is decided yet.”
Recently, there was a report that the company will be a part of the ‘Make in India’ program and new Nokia will be built in India itself. However, Mehta told the Gadgets 360 that no final decision has been taken on this too.
Mehta said, “The plan is to make all the phones in India itself. And we are also working with Foxconn to implement it. If they do not succeed in increasing production then products will be brought from Vietnam or China. But the desire is of Made in India.”
Ajay Mehta informed that Nokia will sell these phones online as well as offline market. However, “He also said that some smartphones would be online exclusive, while some offline exclusive. The same product will not sell on both platforms.”
He said, “We will choose all retail platforms through which customers can be reached. That is, our strategy is for every channel. Online or offline. And our effort will also be that the products are exclusive to a platform.”
