According to a post on the Netflix FAQ page, a single Netflix account can now be accessed by only people living in the same house and people who do not live on the primary account holder’s address will have to use their account.
Sharing passwords with users outside the customer’s house will now become complicated and it is likely that additional money will be taken from the user to share the same account at different places.
If a new device connected to the primary account will be in a separate place, the Netflix will demand a 4 -digit temporary verification code, which will have to be recorded within 15 minutes of requesting access. The device will be given access continuously for seven days at another place.
According to Netflix, users who travel from their main devices will not have any problem in accessing Netflix in other places. To ensure Netflix access, users must connect their primary location to Wi-Fi at least once every 31 days.
Netflix added a new feature called “profile transfer” to tighten the account password-sharing last year.
