Nasa voyager 1 comes against to obclusive the use of 43 years

NASA’s spacecraft Voyager 1 recently surprised scientists by contacting the earth again. This spacecraft has been on a journey of space for 47 years. The amazing thing is that the radio transmitter through which it contacted was last used in 1981. That is, with the help of 43 years old transmitter, it sent a message. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) scientists established contact with Voyager 1 on 24 October.

Voyager 1 space has 15 billion miles away. On 16 October, a transmitter shutdown was shutdown, causing a temporary disruption in communication. Scientists estimated that this shutdown would have been due to the fault protection system of the spacecraft. According to the report, this system often turns off some other systems running in spacecraft. This system does so when the spacecraft consumes too much power.

According to NASA, it takes 23 hours to reach the earth from Voyager 1, or reach Voyager 1 from the earth. That is, the message sent is a one -sided distance in about 1 day. On 16 October, the engineers sent a command to the spacecraft, but till 18 October they did not receive any response from the spacecraft. Then a day later, the contact with the spacecraft broke completely. After investigation, it was found that Voyager 1’s fault protection system has switched the spacecraft to another, low power consumed transmitter.

Voyager 1 has two radio transmitters, but it has been using only one for many years called X-Band Transmitter. Second, S-Band Transmitter uses another frequency which has not been used since 1981. Currently, NASA has postponed the decision to re-switch to the X-Band transmitter.

The agency says that it would not do so until it is found out why the spacecraft changed the transmitter. Meanwhile, scientists again sent a message spacecraft on 22 October, which they received on 24 October. This ensured that the spacecraft is working properly with the S-Band transmitter. Voyager 1 has also discovered a thin ring around the Jupiter Planet. Also, its two new Jovian Moon- Thebe and Metis have also been detected.
