According to a media report, the platform has banned more than 2.2 million accounts in India in June. The report states that 426 requests and 16 complaints were made for security reasons for banning the account. After this, action was taken on 64 accounts.
How does WhatsApp deal with misconduct? Under this, the report states that in addition to reacting and taking action to the complaints of users, WhatsApp also deploys tools and reserves on its platform, which prevent wrong behavior.
WhatsApp says that using your tool operates in three phases to detect misconduct: during registration, during messaging and in the response of negative feedback. According to WhatsApp, an analyst team evaluates these functions.
For any complaint from WhatsApp, users can e-mail on wa@assestance.whatsapp.com. Apart from this, suspicious accounts can also be reported through the app. Earlier in March, WhatsApp had banned more than 1.85 million (18 lakh) accounts.
