Moon Additional In Threat from Asteroid 2024 YR4 Projection to Collide with Earth in 2032

NASA space scientists have recently issued a warning about a dangerous Esteroid 2024 YRR4. Scientists say that it can hit the Earth in Esteroid 2032. Its possibility of collision was said to be 1 out of 83, which has now become 1 out of 43. Where earlier it was likely to hit the earth 1%, now it has increased to 2.3%. Estroid 2024 YRR4 has created another concern for scientists. It is now being said that it can also collide with the moon. According to the report published in Livelaw, Operation Engineer David Rankin at the Catalina Sky Survey of College of Arizona has said that Estroid is 0.3 percent likely to hit the moon. If this happens, there will be a deep pit in a large part of the moon, and the debris that arises from a confrontation will spread to the space. This debris can also come up to the earth.

Rankin says that according to the current estimate, in the event of arsteroid colliding with the moon, 340 Hiroshima bombs will rise towards the sky. This explosion will be so big that it can be seen from the earth as well. Due to the collision, a 2 km big pit can be formed on the moon. If it collides with the earth, its effect can be seen in the eastern Pacific Ocean, Northern South America, the Atlantic Ocean, Africa, Arabian Sea and South Asia.

Asteroid 2024 YR4 was first reported on 27 December 2024. On 31 December, it caught the attention of scientists when it appeared in NASA’s automated Sentry Risk List. The Sentry Risk List includes all the asteroids who are hovering near the earth, who are more likely to hit the earth than zero.
